Conclusion
September showed the UAE is no longer just a market for the auto industry. It’s becoming a place where cars are made and launched. ROX’s first “Made in the Emirates” vehicles, Freelander’s global debut in Abu Dhabi and Kia’s new UAE distribution network all point to a region taking a bigger role in the industry’s future. Across the Gulf, Hyundai’s hydrogen push in Oman adds to that momentum.
Globally, the direction is clear. Chinese brands are winning share in Europe through hybrids and record exports. Luxury names like Bentley and Range Rover are going electric. And automakers are betting on AI, robotics and autonomy to drive the next decade of growth.
There’s plenty to watch next. The Paris Motor Show runs from 12 to 18 October, and the Ford Everest V6 arrives in the Middle East in November. Automechanika Dubai also opens at its new Expo City home on 10 November, so the region will stay in the spotlight.
